Here's playlist of J Dilla samples I put together just to vibe out to. The genius and sheer brilliance of James "Dilla" Yancey is incomparable. I'm still amazed while listening to these songs how he heard the pieces he heard to come up with those tracks. Anyway, enjoy.
Tier 0 is the first volume of an upcoming instrumental beat series. All four of these tracks were created in one night and it captures the zone I was in when I created them. They're free to use on any non-commercially distributed mixtape, just shout me out (twitter: @doxortho, Instagram: @doxortho). Make sure to subscribe to the site for free sound packs and tutorials.
I was recently interviewed by The Fader for an article on the GRAMMY's Best Urban Contemporary Album category. I played a part in the creation of this category in 2012 and had the honor of working with several people I truly respect in doing so. In the inaugural year, the first award given out in this category went to Frank Ocean for his album "Channel Orange". The category was created to give artists, who's music may contain other elements that may not be considered traditional R&B, a place to enter their music.
Make sure to tune in on Sunday February 8th and watch Jhené Aiko, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Mali Music and Pharrell Williams vie for the award in this category at the 2015 GRAMMY Awards being broadcast on CBS.
I will be one of the judges for next Philly iStandard Producer Showcase. See below for info:

As promised, I'm giving away another pack as part of the site launch. This pack here is titled "PulChild 808's" as a play on the name of the Pultec EQP-1A EQ and the Fairchild 660 Limiter. The original units have been used on countless hit and classic recordings across several genres. The Pultec has been a favorite go to unit of top engineers for its unique ability to add warmth, depth and clarity to drums. The Fairchild, which has been used on hit records from the Beatles to many Motown classics, has the ability to give your tracks a ton of tube warmth and character and can also add the sweet harmonics that happen to be a desired effect on 808's. I used the UAD emulations on the drums along with some other processing of my own. The drums are punchy, fat and warm and have some nice depth that will translate very well on HipHop, R&B, Pop and EDM productions. The pack is free in exchange for a tweet on your twitter account. Once the tweet has been sent check for the download link in the pop up "Pay With A Tweet" window. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!!!
